...hunh...that worked :-)  Then fftw.c compiled, but now we're
hitting a bad link flag:

g++ -shared  -o gridflow.so base/main.o base/grid.o base/bitpacking.o
base/flow_objects.o base/number.1.o base/number.2.o base/number.3.o
format/x11.o format/opengl.o format/quartz.o format/aalib.o format/
jpeg.o format/png.o format/quicktimeapple.o optional/gem.o optional/
fftw.o -L/Users/tigital/lib -L/usr/local/lib -L/sw/lib -lm -L/usr/
X11R6/lib -lX11 -lXext -lglut -lGL -lGLU -lobjc -framework Cocoa -laa
-ljpeg -lpng -lz -framework Quicktime -lfftw3f -lfftw3 -L. -lruby -
ldl -lcrypt -lm
powerpc-apple-darwin8-g++-4.0.1: unrecognized option '-shared'
/usr/bin/ld: warning -L: directory name (/Users/tigital/lib) does not
exist
/usr/bin/ld: can't locate file for: -lcrypt
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [gridflow.so] Error 1

...I just removed -shared from the LDSHARED in Makefile, but that
triggers a full recompile...we'll see if it worx!
